My girl has done it again!

She’s drawn another TBs picture! According to her, the Thunderbirds characters show up in her doodles during science class (between taking notes–she actually likes science). This one is of Alan and his pygmy alligator… sort of a first encounter. She’s got another one that she’s working on, a "secret life of Scott Tracy" thing. She’s drawing the characters as "chibis": small, child-like figures drawn more in the proportion of children than of adults. Personally, I think she’s doing great, and I’m having a ball watching her do this (and listening to her moans…).

International Rescue: The Next Phase is going really well right now. We have two new members and boy, are they getting into this! It’s re-energized some of the veteran members, myself included. We’ve now gotten down to the beginning of the big rescue, one that will test our characters to the limit. Lots of great stuff to come, and if you’re interested, come give us a read!

Unfortunately, this hasn’t done my work in The White Winds any good. My goal is to wrap up both The White Winds and Overtures by the end of October so I can focus on my original story come November and NaNoWriMo. We’ll see how far I get with this. Strangely enough, I’ve been able to do a couple of drabbles and some haiku (inspired by a challenge on live journal’s Fanthropology site) which has cleared my head a little, I think. We’ll see how quickly I can get back into writing the rest of my WIPs. I’d love to have another session like the one I had at the end of Masquerade, where I just couldn’t stop writing. That is the best.

Can’t walk Boy #2 home today; the Girl has a doctor’s appt. so I’ve got to drive and pick everyone up. Walking in the morning is quite pleasant now; things have cooled down a bit over all. Interestingly enough, her appointment is in the very same building where I first heard about the events of 9/11/01. I was waiting there for my mother to get out of physical therapy when I heard about the Towers. Eerie, isn’t it?

More later as the muse moves.
